Magnifico hopes that his daughters will marry a wealthy man. Prince Ramiro sends his teacher Alidoro to find him a wife. Dressed as a beggar, Alidoro arrives at Magnifico&#8217;s house, where he is only received hospitably by Cenerentola. The family is invited to a ball with the prince, which means that Magnifico already sees his dream come true. Prince Ramiro and his servant Dandini switch identities and pick up the daughters for the ball. Dandini, dressed as a prince, is immediately surrounded by the family. When the prince, dressed as a valet, and Cenerentola meet, they fall in love, but her family informs him that she only is a maid. Cenerentola is left alone until Alidoro gives her a beautiful dress so she can actually go to the ball. When Cenerentola appears at the palace, everyone wonders who this beautiful lady is. She resembles Magnifico&#8217;s stepdaughter&#8230; Cenerentola rejects Dandini&#8217;s advances and says she loves the valet. Finally, Ramiro declares his love for Cenerentola and she gives him a bracelet. She asks him to find the pendant as proof that he really loves her. When Clorinde and Tisbe hear the truth about Dandini, they return home angry. During a storm, Ramiro takes shelter in the baron&#8217;s house. There he finds the pendant of the bracelet. When he sees Cenerentola, who is performing household chores in her normal attire, he immediately recognizes her and asks her to marry him.
