Info
Tamino is commissioned by the Queen of the Night to work with the bird catcher Papageno to rescue her daughter Pamina from Sarastro. The Queen of the Night gives Tamino a magic flute and Papageno a chime to protect them during their journey. During his search, Tamino discovers that Sarastro is not an evil ruler, but a good and wise priest and that the Queen of the Night has bad intentions. Sarastro imposes a number of trials on Tamino and Papageno, which they ultimately manage to overcome with the help of their magical instruments. Tamino and Pamina must endure the final trials together. After this they can enter Sarastro’s kingdom and thus have a better life. Papageno also gets what he wanted, namely his Papagena. The power of the Queen of the Night and that of the slave overseer Monostatos are destroyed.
