In memoriam Paulien Cornelisse

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Paulien Cornelisse.

For Opera Zuid, Paulien created the Dutch adaptation of Frau Luna. With her characteristic love of language, her sharp powers of observation and her subtle humour, she gave the operetta a new, sparkling voice. Her words brought the work closer to audiences, without losing any of the lightness and charm of the original.

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Paulien, and that her language has become part of our opera history.

Our thoughts are with her family, friends and everyone who held her dear.
