Julietta (1998)

7 February ’98 > 10 March ’98

Info

Michel, a Parisian bookseller, returns to a small port town in search of a woman whose voice he once heard. When he arrives in the town, he notices that a lot has changed. The residents behave strangely, because all appear to have lost their memory and only live in the present. Every stranger who enters the city is asked to tell a story that is then adopted as their own life story.
Michel loses himself in this world, where there is neither past nor future, where no one knows what will happen or has happened.
When Michel wants to return to Paris, there appears to be no train or station, but to his great joy he sees the girl of his dreams appear in a window. He is received by her like an old lover, but their meeting ends with a revolver shot aimed at Julietta, fired by Michel. How does this work? Will Michel ever find out what really happened? Or will he just start his story again, which has no past in this village…?
