Production Trainee
For more than twenty-five years, Opera Zuid has been shifting the boundaries in the southern Netherlands with passionate and authentic opera theatre. Through a careful selection of leading national and international soloists and conductors, refined artistic framework and a thorough dramaturgy, Opera Zuid consistently achieves high-quality results. The appointment in 2017 of Waut Koeken as intendant marked a new élan. The coming years’ focus will be on stimulating repertoire, collaborations with (southern) Dutch and European companies and careful attention to young talent.
For the production department we seek a:
Production Trainee
32-40 hours per week (internship period and duration made in consultation)
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Assisting the production manager with performances;
- Supporting preproduction and production;
- Supporting the production manager during travel and stay (including welcoming guests at the hotel, picking up guests from the station/airport, guiding tour bus);
- Supporting the side programme.
Who are you?
- You have a passion for musical theatre;
- You are studying MBO/HBO education;
- You are positive, enterprising, initiating and flexible;
- You like learning a lot quickly;
- You can work evenings and weekends;
- Having a driving license B is an advantage.
